I have been out with Alan over the last couple of days and
over the next three weeks will be out and about on various things. We had a
session at the Inverness wall looking at some movement and refreshing knots for
tying into things. Yesterday we headed to
Skye as Alan is keen to get some scrambling done and we headed up into Coire
Grhunda over a few scrambly steps to head up to the ridge proper and a trip
along to the munro Sgurr Dubh Mor. We set off from the car park in Glen Brittle
meeting Bruce Poll who was heading for a similar area. It was a bright start
but once we gained the upper coire we were in a thick clag to the main ridge
and top although dry and bright once we finished. We are on for some more rock
climbing and then a few days munro bagging. Alan has signed up for his ML and
so we shall be focussing on that vie an exped.
The Highland weather seems to be getting a little warmer at the moment
and we found no snow on the Skye ridge were we where but I saw large patches at
the Northern end.
