Strange but very relevant artwork at Kentra |

Assessing where to go next which is limited on Eigg |

Coming into Eigg with the Sgurr visible, a very impressive feature |

En route to Arisaig |
Donald and I headed away with the bikes in an attempt to get some cycle training in before the big cycle in the autumn. Having had a busy time of it on Mull this summer I was starting to think that any days on the bike before the off was starting to look unlikley.
Starting in Craignure we headed up through Mull and across to Ardgour and Moidart continuing to Arisaig and Mallaig with a quick trip to Egg and back via Mallaig and Fort William to Oban.
Pretty patchy weather and certainly what feels like the end of the summer starting to approach with the nights getting a little shorter. The midge though seems to be in full swing and no where is worse than the West Coast for them. Unfortunately the weather was not so good on Egg infact in poured down as I was hoping to get up the Sgurr which is a very big and impressive feature on the island.
Back on Mull and its very wet and windy although set to clear a little, I think with the countries weather Mull has been about the best place this summer which is unusual !
