Ben More : Expedition training

Al on the summit ridge bound for Ben More, Isle of Mull

Just the odd patches which could
be crossed with a step or two

I was out with Al who has been out and about with me for a few years now and this time we where on Mull which could not have proved to have been a nicer day wall to wall sunshine. We have a few projects on the go this year including a trip to North Africa in the early summer and some scrambling and climbing trips around the Highlands. We had a look at the maps and guides last night and then had a day on the hill today.
It was a stunning day with some snow on the summit although not much on the way up to it. A little step cutting would be all that's needed at the moment. The views around where some of the clearest I have seen from the Isle with no haze at all you could see right across the Hebrides and up to Skye down to Jura and across to the Ben.
It looks like this week should stay pretty much the same with nice days ahead.
