Intro rock climbing

Knockvolgen crag some very pleasant routes here !

Looking for runners
I was out with Andrew who had come across from Crianlarich to have a look at some rock climbing and in particular ropework, anchors and runner placements for his own climbing.
We headed down to the granite crags on the southern end of the Ross of Mull and around knockvologen bay. We spent the day creating all sorts of belays and methods of tying into them. A warm day which stayed dry throughout and gave way to a stunning west coast sunset.
The crags at this end of the island are some of the most picturesque and enjoyable venues around although you would rarely see another party. Across the Sound of Erraid on the south side of Erraid are some stunning pink granite crags similar in style and height to the Peak District gritstone. The bouldering in this area is in my opinion better than anywhere in the UK.
