Heading into the sun via a snowy summit area |
|
I had a day on the Ben leaving Mull on two wheels to cycle through Ardgour and on to Fort William. An early start on the Saturday morning.
Ken,
Spike and myelf took a team of 21 from a London law firm on the first stage of their 3 peaks challenge. We where up and down in good time.
The Ben still has a good load of snow on it and as we approached the top some snow showers where passing through with a cold wind giving it a wintry feel. The snow is pretty much from Mcleans steep to the summit and with an overnight frost it was frozen solid. No need for axe and crampons but a good set of boots would be a must as its pretty icy in places. As we came down the hordes where coming up in trainers of which they should be having a fair slip around.
Once down it was back on the bike and this time down to Oban to catch the ferry making for a long day !
Today I was working for
