Buchaille Etive Beag

Looking towards Stob Coire  nan Locahain and Bidean
Alan on crisp neve

I was out early doors with Alan Clayton. We headed to Glen Coe and where greeted by a stunning sunrise, blue skies and a crisp frost. We where on Buchaille Etive Beag where once high up there is snow and its set to concrete with the overnight frost. Looking down the Glen the Aonach Eagach has cover along the top and would give a very alpine feel. Stob Coire nan Lochain looks good and white (pictured above).
I couldnt see much in the way of ice looking around but the remaining snow is now good and hard and high on the Ben the ice should have firmed up along with the snow. Looks like some nice days ahead not much in the way of new snow but plenty to provide some weekend entertainment.
