Uiskin Bay, Costeering

Uiskin Bay on the Ross of Mull

After the deluge of yesterday it seemed almost impossible to believe the forecast for today which predicted blue skies but never doubt the beeb as it came true. A stunning day to be out on the coast. Andy I and the group headed out to Uiskin bay which lies on the south side of the Ross of Mull for some coasteering. Wrapped in a winter wet suit, wet suit socks and gloves it seemed reasonably warm in the water. There was a fair crowd down there in sea kayaks, boats and swim wear making it feel like a summers day at the beech.
The sun held on for the BBQ this evening although the weekend weather looks a little wet. The good thing about this end of Mull though is that often with a wet forecast the weather stays ok here before hitting the hills and releasing its main pay load. That said though it is a pretty wet place on the whole !
