Glen Coe, Winter Skills 2

Good firm patches to practice things on

Ski area from the top of the chair

Sun at last

Day 2 and it felt much more like winter today. Quite a bit of fresh snow fell through the night giving a much better look to the hills, cooler temperatures and blue skies made things much brighter. We headed to the ski area as the team where keen to get a little closer towards Glasgow airport in order to make their flights this evening.
We headed for the large and now firm patches that lead to the top of Meall Bhuide. The snow cover is pretty good with some skiers out (touring) on some of the longer stretches which looked good with fresh powder on. Of all the ski areas Glen Coe has held onto the most and if we get some more snow then they would not be far from being able to run.
Looks like perhaps a couple of nicer days before some stormy weather sets in a little later in the week.
Today I was working for Alan Kimber, West Coast Mountain Gudies.
